Questions people actually ask
Is a redaction charged per page?
No. One redaction covers one whole document up to 50 pages, however many items it contains. Past 50 pages it takes one further redaction per additional 50 pages, so a 120-page file is three.
Do I have to give a card to try it?
No. The 3 free redactions need no card and there's no subscription running in the background. You're only asked to pay if you use all ten and decide to keep going.
What happens when my free redactions run out?
The document you were working on stays exactly where it is. You'll see the two options above, and once you've paid the redaction you were blocked on picks up where it left off — nothing is lost and nothing is re-uploaded.
Which is better for me — a pack or the monthly plan?
Arithmetic: a pack is about $0.66 a document, the monthly plan about $0.10. If you redact more than about three documents a month, the plan is cheaper. Below that, buy packs — we'd rather tell you that than sell you a subscription you don't use.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from the billing portal in your account — you keep access through the period you already paid for. Unused credit packs are refundable for 14 days. The full terms are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Are my documents used to train AI?
Never — on any tier, including free. Detection runs on Google Cloud's Vertex AI under its Training Restriction, so it's Google's contractual commitment as well as our promise. More in Trust & Security.
